The MLS benchmark price for a single-family home in Port Alberni rose 1.81% since fall 2014. The market saw a change of 70% in unit sales from September 2014 to September 2015 – the highest on the Island.
Fall 2015 is proving to be the ideal time to list your home. With less competition (i.e. other listings on the market), your home stands out and doesn’t stay on the market long. Autumn buyers are typically qualified (to be buying in the chillier months, you have to be serious!) and motivated to buy before the holiday season. If they’re looking now, they have to move; resulting in a speedier process for everyone involved.
